[Special Event] 2020 iRacing 24 Hours of Daytona

Congrats guys! I watched some of it, looked like a lot of fun. How was the NTM over the course of the race? I haven't kept up.

These cars are not on NTM7, yet. Still on v6. Hopefully in the next build, before Sebring, we'll see the GT3, GTE's and all Prototypes' recieve the new tyre model!!

@Skid_Marc_ did you guys do any tire double stinting?

I know it's still kind of early but does anyone have any interest in Bathurst 12hr? I don't think the iracing version of Australia has caught fire yet so we might be good. Ok, ok, calm down, it's just a joke. I've been keeping up with the news down there and my God what a horrendously tragic situation.

I'm fairly positive a bunch of us plan to do the 12hr. Personally it's become one of my favorite races on the schedule. I'd like to drive the Ferrari again, but I'd drive the Audi as well.

Oh, I thought the C7 got the NTM7 for some reason, maybe it was the 7. I saw Noel slide through turn the hairpin a couple of times and thought to myself how saveable v7 is. I guess it was just Noel's skills.

There is a video that you might have seen of Noel. If not then you should check it out if you want to see some saves. @Noodleguitar where is that video of you in the Mclaren at the Nordschleife? That has enough wheel sawing to cut down a sequoia.

If you weren't so busy saving slides you might have put down the fastest lap-time.

I would have thought someone with "skills" would be able to work that out.

@Kenadian reasons Marc's fastest lap time was faster than mine:

• The track was cooler when set his lap time
• During the night the air is probably cooler, which made the engine run better
• Marc basically forced us to use his setup. It was essentially undrivable but he must have been practicing it for 6 months
• When I set my lap time the steering was off-center. I suspect Marc intentionally ran over Nejtun's helmet before he got out of the car
• When Marc was messaging other teams he must have offered one of the C7 teams 50 dollars to give him a perfect draft lap
