Viewer owned real estate has been a topic of discussion on Twitch for a long time now.
The reason it's not moved forward is I don't want it to be a one-and-done thing, I want it to be more immersive, realistic and satisfying.
Essentially, when you buy your first home in Janktown, it doesn't end there. You can spend channel points to paint your home, landscape your yard, maybe even add items such as sheds, pools, paths, change your driveway, etc.
Also, I'd love to have the ability to become a real-estate Tycoon in Janktown owning Hotels, Businesses, Farms, Orchards, as well.
...but you should not be able to own a home in a week or two, it should take ingame years for this to occur imho.
Currently, I'm working on stream engagement rewards to accrue points. I don't know how far I can go with this but will list here what you can do to accrue points quickly.
Lastly, I'd love to add a Loan element to purchasing homes but don't know how to do that or if it's even manageable?
At this point in time, the cheapest home will cost 100k in Petrldmp, the small town under the flight path to Janktown International Airport.
Pricing starts at 100k at Petrldmp, but may go as high as 10 - 25mil on Snob Hill (just above the Edumication District) and Higher in the Coastal Road District.

Lastly, no real estate market is complete without the ability to sell your home. I'm unsure how this will work but it should be tied to Janktown's economy and housing demand at the time?
