Also, as someone pointed out on the iRacing forum;
Suzuka 1000
Britcar 24
Petit Le Mans
Bathurst 1000
4 team races in 4 consecutive weeks (8 Hours of Indy make it 5 races in 6 weeks) is more "brutal" and less "special", IMO.
I love the addition of the Britcar24, I just think it's time to take out all the "IMSA" and "NASCAR" races from the "Special Events" schedule. iRacing already has the "NASCAR iRacing Series", which the Daytona 500, World 600, Firecracker 400, Brickyard 400, and Homestead Championship should already be a part of, and not on this schedule.
Just give us an IMSA WeatherTech Championship Series already! We have all the tracks [that matter]!
24 Hours of Daytona
12 Hours of Sebring
Long Beach Street Circuit - 160 Minutes
WeatherTech Laguna Seca - 160 Minutes
Detroit [Belle Isle is a better track than the garbage downtown circuit] - 160 minutes
6 Hours of Watkins Glen
Canadian Tire Motorsports Park - 160 Minutes (LMP2/GT3-only IRL, but who cares)
6 Hours of Road America
Virginia International Raceway - 160 Minutes (GT3-only IRL, but who cares)
Indianapolis Motor Speedway - 160 Minutes
Petit Le Mans - 10 Hours
Take out the 5 NASCAR races, and the 5 IMSA races, and you shrink the Special Event's calander from 33 events to 23 events; 10 solo events and 13 team events. Now your "special events" average out to two per month, and I think that feels a lot more "special". The only repeats left are the IGTC (GT3-only Bathurst 12, Spa 24, Suzuka 1000, and 8 Hours of Indy) but I'm willing to concede those.
